Historical Background of Isabel Mateos Technical Institute.
The genesis of this Institute can be traced as far back in 2001 initiated by Marian Brothers, a Catholic religious Congregation in Arua Diocese together with other stake holders of the area, who then started Vocational skill training in tailoring in an anticipation that they would serve as a good foundation for the technical Institute
The founding body has chosen to name the Institute as Isabel Mateos Technical Institute in memory of her enormous contribution to the Marian Brothers interventions. The Institute was licensed by Uganda Business and Technical Examination board (UBTEB) with the registration number UBT 484 in July 2023 and Ministry of Education and Sports with registration number TVET/03/P24032 on 1st June 2024 as a Vocational Training Institute with two approved programs namely Agricultural Production and Agricultural Engineering Mechanics. The Institute is registered by Uganda Registration Service Bureau (URSB) with certificate of incorporation as Isabel Mateos Technical Institute (U) LTD (Limited by Guarantee Without Share Capital) with registration No. 80034869520886 on 26th June 2024.
